Golf 2010
Starting in 2004 under the direction of Dr. Rob Neal and Karen Harrison with GOLF BIODYNAMICS their team was assigned the task of plotting an individual golf training program for me. In our 6th year together the team at GOLF BIODYNAMICS is constantly adjusting the integrated training program to include a wider range of exercises and drills that enhance both power and technique.

Changes / improvements in measured swing mechanics using 3D Swing Analysis and video analysis design exclusively by Dr. Neal has determined the overall characteristics of my swing have matured. While still a work in progress it is much better than at any time in my life. Dr Neal's detailed review not only directs in an individual program for mechanics of my golf swing but a strength and conditioning program based on my body's real time characteristics. Our nutrition program based on my needs today has been very useful addition to our program as has a local trainer to help monitor my exercise program. A mental conditioning program had been added in June of 2009 and was the last component missing to already tough and challenging program. All of this is a thoroughly holistic approach to integrated sports science. The individual training programs have resulted in some amazing results. 2010 ROCKED !!!!!!!!
I won the San Diego Junior Masters to start my 2010 ( January 2&3, 2010) the way 2009 ended ...... with a BANG ! (by 9 strokes) I was even 5 under after 11 holes but...... I won the 2010 Callaway Future Champions Santa Barbara Junior Championship and won the 2010 Callaway Future Champions World Championship on February 13-15, 2010 at the 6200 yard Pala Mesa Golf Course. I won the first three NCGA Junior Tour events at Brookside (March 13&14), Sierra Meadows (March 20&21) and Hunter Ranch (April 10&11) and won at Alta Sierra with a eagle and 2 birdies. I am also the FCT Callaway Junior Tour Player of the Year for the second time and the NCGA Player of the Year for the first time. Wife Swap aired on the 16th of April. I am also one of the first 2 "Junior Merit" members at Blackhawk CC in Danville CA. Blackhawk is the home of the CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge an event I did qualify for last year.
I did my first Golfweek interview in January of 2010 and here is a link to the Junior Page and my second this past May They are both very cool cool. ... time to go
Some other really fun stuff this year ........
This summer Canadian Women's Amateur July 27-30 the Junior PGA Championship August 2-5. I also went to France from July 15-22 and was honored to represent the USA in the Evian Masters Junior Cup. Although I was very disappointed our U.S. team did not win (congratulations to the French team) I made some progress on my own list of personal goals. From 7 birdies in round 2, to traveling to Europe to play a great event, I learned I can compete on a world stage at a high level. Thanks to our great team captain Sean Pyun and the rest of the LPGA folks who made it happen, and thanks to all the tournament organizers and volunteers from Evian who put on a world class event . If you raise the age to 15 I will see you next year (I'm just saying).....
I played in the AJGA's Rolex Championships in Hilton Head, South Carolina from June 14-17. Although I wanted more from my performance, I had some flashes of things to come in my future if I continue to work hard. With with scores of 76,71,73 my overall score was not to bad but the later two rounds included triples and doubles and most importantly lots of birdies. So this year at least I guess I am living by the old adage "you've got to give to receive" I guess. OUCH?! I got in front of some great college coach's so overall it was a great learning experience. How do you say it feels like 111 with 95% humidity...paramedic please.
In May I played the Bell Micro Classic (tournament site) in Mobile, Alabama for my second LPGA event by the age of 14. Although my 74-78 missed the cut as learned about new grooves I had a great time and learned again what I need to do to compete with the best players in the world. I have a bold prediction ... that's my last cut missed for a while. Thanks to Bell Micro President Don Bell, V.P. Joe Cousins, and Tournament Director Jonathon Romeo for allowing me to play. Guess who I got to play with on the Wednesday. Click here AWESOME !!!
I guess I was the youngest.....
You want to know a weird fact we just found out. If you look in this years media guide for the 2010 US Women's Amateur Public Links Championship. On page 7 under 2009 facts I was the youngest ever to get to the Quarter Finals of this great USGA Championship by one month. Great picture on page 11 by the way in the media guide as well. You know who I was just a little younger then .. Michele Wie by one month. Because of the great opportunity Blackhawk CC gave me last year in becoming a "Junior Merit Member" I was not eligible for WAPL this year. It appears I will be eligible next year and look forward to competing.
I DID QUALIFY FOR AN LPGA EVENT IN 2009

1. Callaway Golf Future Champions Tour - San Diego Junior Masters - Sycuan Golf Resort - San Diego CA - January 2 & 3, 2010
This was a second year event and the first time I played it . This golf course is a Junior World site and was in in good condition despite all the rain. It was the first event with my new bag of clubs and the driver was awesome but the irons, wedges and 3 wood need a little getting used to. I did start the year out with a win which was helpful and I was 5 under on day 2 after 11 holes finishing with a 2 day total of 147. An attempt to move the ball a little caused me to finish even par on day 2 but I still learned a lot about how to play the new wedges and irons. Thanks to Chris and his group for running a great event.
2. Callaway Golf Future Champions Tour - North / South Team Cup - Callaway Golf Challenge Tour vs JAGS Tour - Pala Mesa Golf Resort - Fall Brook CA - January 9 & 10, 2010
This was a second year event for me and we tied JAGS in the darkness of the night despite being ahead on the 3 match's that were called as a result of darkness. I was honored to represent Callaway Golf's Future Champions Tour as there player of the year for 2008 and 2009 I felt it my responsibility to play and represent a great new junior golf organization in the southern part of our state as they had put on some really first class events in 2008 and 2009. From the San Diego Junior Masters to the World Championships at Pala Mesa they take the politics out of Junior Golf and put the players first. The weather was awesome and I defiantly hope to go back to again next year
3. Callaway Golf Future Champions Tour - Champions Tour World Championships - Pala Mesa Resort and GC - Fall Brook CA - February 15 & 16, 2009
This was a another 2nd year event though my first year playing and another great event put on by Callaway Golf's Future Champions Tour. I won this year by 5 strokes with a 3 day score of 76,74,72 (222) from around 6150 yards and finally I think figured out my new bag of clubs .The weather and course conditions were just awesome. I think I played with my friend Courtney Hooton for 2 of the 3 days which was fun as well so all was good this Presidents Day event.
4. San Francisco City Women Championships - Harding Park - San Francisco, CA - February 22 & 28, 2009, March 1-2009
This update is after the one day qualifier which I shot a even par 72 in the rain and ended up being seeded 4th . My round one match is against Betty Chen the 2008 JGANC player of the Year who no longer plays in the JGANC. It is great honor to play in this event and another great experience. I did realize they play in all conditions rain wind ect at this event and was told they rarely cancel which they did not do this year even though the greens got really really wet. I had putted on the green with with different clubs inclusive of an 8 iron to get ready. Match play starts February 27, 2010. >>>>>> I was knocked out in the quarter finals again and as a result relaized either my dad of Mike are going to caddy for me in California based events. Lets just say I know better now.
5. Brookside Junior Championship - NCGA Junior Tour - Brookside CC - Stockton, CA - March 13 and 14, 2010
This was a great experience at a place I played a lot. The NCGA this year had expanded its tour to include even more events as they try to expand their governance of junior golf in Northern California. As the largest (by member) golf organization of its kind probably in the world it was a great idea. John Vander Borght and the rest of the NCGA officials did a great job of putting on a first class event at a world class venue. After a windy (35-40 mph) first day which for some reason saw me strike the ball great but 3 putt 5 times I settled down the second day to shoot 71 and win by 2 .Congratulations to all the participants and especially Head Professional Piper Wagner on hosting the event very successfully.
6. Sierra Meadows Junior Championship - NCGA Junior Tour - Sierra Meadows CC - Ahwahnee, CA - March 20 and 21, 2010
This was a great experience at a place I had never played even a practice round before. The NCGA just runs great events as it expands its tour to include even more events in Northern California. It was fun playing with Mariko on the final day. The unlike the JGANC the has its own officials which again did a great job of putting on a first class event at a world class venue. Shot 71 on the final day to win by a few again while still working on a few swing issues and trying to shape the ball a bit more.. Congratulations to all the participants and especially Head Professional and General Manager Mike Best on hosting a great event .
7. The First Tee of Sacramento -Alta Sierra Junior Classic - Alta Sierra CC - Grass Valley CA - March 25, 2007
The First Tee of Sacramento is an organization I have played since 2006. They are run by a great group of volunteers and led by Angie Dixon a very nice lady. I won this event for the 2nd time and capped off a great 3 months of play. An eagle and 2 birdies helped me win by 3 despite a poor putting day. A great time was had by all.
2010 updates will be complete by December 15th 2010 !!!!!
